Excellence in Engineering sponsored by Delphi CHS District - Southwest Virginia Event This team did an excellent job at specializing their design to one specific function that stood out from the rest. There are legends about a magical beast of a machine having a prominent bold feature that launches its performance into the competition. They spent their time shooting for the high goal like a master hunter on a safari in Africa, accurately adding fuel to the boilers.

Recycle Rush 2014-2015

Winner Championships - Curie Division Team 148 - Robowranglers (Greenville, TX), Team 1114 - Simbotics (St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada), and Team 1923 - The MidKnight Inventors (Plainsboro, NJ). The alliance went on to make it to semi-finals on Einstein.
Gracious Professionalism sponsored by Johnson & Johnson North Carolina Regional They must have had a fly swatter 'cause they've helped lots of folks get the bugs out of the arena. Their coding ninjas were busy before the competition, improving an interface and making it available to other teams. They volunteered whenever they could to help whomever they could. They are a horse of a particularly proud stripe. Congratulations: Team 900 - Zebracorns.

Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox Palmetto Regional The Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox celebrates creativity in design, use of components, or unique strategy of play. This robot was engineered to succeed with a unique strategy and original means of execution. It has been designed to gain access to cans from any position on the field, including the landfill, providing high scoring potential for its team. The robot features an automatic can recognition feature, an arm with almost 180 degrees of motion which uses carbon fiber to lower the center of gravity, and an independent wheels control system. The judges would like to recognize the Zebracorns. Congratulations, Team 900!

Winner Rumble in the Roads Offseason Event Team 384 - Sparky (Richmond, VA) and Team 3168 - Warriors (Suffolk, VA)
USS Monitor Award Rumble in the Roads Offseason Event By having a very specific design based on a defined strategy, which they executed to perfection every time, this team truly showed their stripes. The USS Monitor Award goes to Team 900 - Zebracorns.
